Welcome to Artists Designing Evolution, where art is the vehicle to actualize equity, spark creative inquiry + reclaim the narrative. This is a space where imagination + community lead in response to systemic inequity and disparities. Whether you are seeking a culturally-rich travel experience, thought-provoking learning journeys, creative intervention, youth leadership programs, or a network for change makers, there are many flavors under the guise of adé PROJECT – the flagship artist residency of Cortina Jenelle Caldwell (+ guest artists and cooperators as often as possible!). To this end, we embody principles of cooperation with a five point theory of change – creative facilitation, entrepreneurship, service, training + education and storytelling. Organizing spaces in circle with other artists, educators, facilitators, young leaders, community farmers and historians has been a cornerstone of our success.

100% of proceeds from book sales benefit work on environmental beautification, waste reduction and climate justice, what we call Earth service, which includes waste reduction, litter cleanup, the protection of waterways, preservation of sacred land sites through the organization of an international network of contractors + volunteers. My love for travel was sparked at a young age and only grew stronger over the years. From the diverse wildlife of South Africa to the mesmerizing deserts of Arizona, the charming landscapes of Southern Appalachia to the historical treasures of Egypt, I’ve been fortunate to witness the breathtaking beauty our world has to offer. My experiences in the vibrant communities of Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Panama have deeply influenced my approach to community work, ingraining in me a deep respect for local cultures and a commitment to sustainable tourism as the world grows more globalized, and hopefully united. The journeys I have taken in the name of community have not only shaped my career but have also shaped me as an individual.
Each destination I visit leaves an indelible imprint on my heart, making me more conscious of the world around me and inspiring me to help others embark on their own transformative journeys. For me, travel is more than just a getaway; it’s an opportunity to connect with cultures, immerse ourselves in the richness of global arts, and ignite the adventurer within us.
